The company was founded in October 1997 as a joint venture between the French Vallourec Group (55% share) and the German Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG (45% share) joining together production and marketing interests for seamless hot rolled tubes and threaded oilfield tubulars (OCTG).
With 100%-owned steel production capacities in Saint-Saulve (France), Duisburg-Huckingen (Germany), Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and Youngstown (Ohio), V & M is not only in a position to offer short delivery times but also to produce hundreds of different steel grades matched to the individual demands of the tube and pipe customers.
