RCS offers a wide range of solutions to corrosion problems in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, water treatment, chemical, pulp, paper & pharmaceutical.
Corrotemp® corrosion temperature sensors
Temperature is one of the most important controllable factors affecting corrosion rates — particularly in refineries, chemical and petrochemical process plants. In general, corrosion rates double for each 10°C rise in temperature. The ability to track temperature and corrosion rate simultaneously is a powerful tool in corrosion management.
- Simplifies corrosion/temperature correlation
- Utilizes standard 6 pin connector — no adaptors required
- Provides stable and accurate measurements
- Suitable for local and remote monitoring
- Available in several probe models
- New instruments measure both parameters
- Wide operating range — -40°F to +500°F (-40°C to +260°C)
The Corrosometer® Corrotemp® patented measurement probe series allows metal loss and temperature information to be collected simply at the corrosion monitoring location. Using a Corrotemp® probe means not having to waste time measuring temperature seperately, more often than not in a location different from where corrosion is being measured.
Temperature measurement has been incorporated into the probes using the same standard 6 pin connectors used by the Corrosometer® probe range — no external connectors or special adaptors are required. The originality of the design permits accurate temperature monitoring to be carried out both locally and remotely.
The following three RCS instruments are compatible with Corrosometer® Corrotemp® probes:
- Model CK-4
- CorrData® Mate II
- CorrData® Remote Data Collectors (RDC)
Corrotemp® probes may also be read with any 100Ω platinum RTD thermometer, such as the Omega Model 868, 869 (or equivalent) with a special adapter (RCS part #748071).
