Since 1975, Zunt Italiana has manufactured a complete range of monolithic insulating joints, used for the sectioning of main pipelines (gas, water, oil) and service lines to ensure cathodic protection and electrical safety in the major pipeline projects all around the world.

Zunt place their experience, their technical skill and their equipment in the design and production of special insulating joints manufactured in compliance with the clients' specification requirements.

Max operating pressure

  • Equal to the Nominal Pressure (PN/ANSI rating)

Test pressure

  • 1.5 times the Design Pressure

Operating temperature

  • -29°C to +70°C for normal temperatures (high temperature design on request)

Testing

In electrical tests in dry air at 25°C:

  • Dielectric strength up to 20,000 V at 50 Hz AC for 1 min
  • Electrical resistance greater than 100 MΩ – 1,000 V DC

Other tests can be carried out on request, including:

  • Helium leakage tests
  • Hydro-thermo-bending tests
  • Torsional tests
  • Hydraulic fatigue test
  • Electrolithic immersion test
  • Tests on coating and lining
